Mercedes pavilion had set up at hall no. 15 fascinated with the showcase of car models. The environment went buzzing with stupendous dance performances and a not-so-common unveiling of car models. The performers unwrapped the cars on skates and with music energizing the pavilion with verve and enthusiasm. Mercedes has brought an array of cars with them to the Auto Expo. The Mercedes Pavilion represented the theme of “Pure Fascination” and every corner and every model from Mercedes was purely fascinating. The auto expo was crowded with media and viewers who were very much excited to get glimpse of the models. The company had also arranged reception for the media people to provide information about the company and the models, along with distribution of brochures and bags to media. The launch of the car models was attended by actress, Bipasha Basu.

Chevrolet Pavilion at Auto-Expo

GM pavilion at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 was one of the best designed and one of the largest pavilion there. The company had used a massive 2000 sqft pavilion to showcase its large range of upcoming vehicles. Special preparations were made to showcase its popular and upcoming models which include Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet volt, Chevrolet Spark Electric, Chevrolet Aveo CNG and Chevrolet Camaro. While some car models were displayed at revolving daises, at the same time some models were provided separate space in the Pavilion. The main stage of the Chevrolet Pavilion was equipped with a high quality sound system as well as there was perfect arrangement for lighting.

Ford Figo is a premium hatchback segment model that is expected to be launched in Indian market in the month of January this year. Indian auto market is dominated by hatchback segment cars as more than 70% customers come for small hatchback segment cars but company’s existing hatchback model Ford Fusion is not doing well in this segment. So, the company wants to tap more market share in this segment with the launch of Ford Figo. Ford India plans to launch Ford Figo with a highly competitive price tag to compete with other major players of this segment like Maruti, Hyundai and Tata. However, Ford refused to say about the exact price of Ford Figo but company official indicates that it will be priced in the range of Rs 3.5 lacs to Rs 5 lacs. Ford India plans to launch Ford Figo with both petrol and diesel models. Its stylish look, exciting interior and exterior features and other advanced features that Ford promises to make available with comparatively low price tag, will surely give it a good start.

Auto major Nissan has announced the launch of its long awaited sports car model Nissan 370Z in the Indian auto market. The senior company official disclosed that Nissan 370Z will be launched in the month of January 2010. With the launch of this stunning model, Nissan plans to make its position stronger in the luxury car segment which is currently dominated by BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. According to the sources, Nissan 370Z will be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) from the parent company in US. Thus, hefty import taxes will lead to an increase in its prices and is speculated to be priced in the range of Rs 30 to 35 lacs. Nissan in general practice imports its two models Nissan Teana and Nissan X-Trail which are cheaper than other imported cars of the same segment. Nissan 370Z is a two seater, two door luxurious coupe model which is packed with number of advanced safety features. Nissan 370Z is already available in the International market and has gained a lot of popularity there because of its advanced features, high performance engine, sporty and stylish looks.
